to take part.

Get participants to sign a consent form with a full description of the study.

Gain presumptive consent - researcher asks a group of people similar to the participants on
whether they would agree to take part in the study.

Participants may not fully understand


Deception - Deceiving participants in order to keep the true aims of the study secret.

Fully debriefing participants after the study (telling them the true nature of the study)

Retrospective consent - researcher asks participants consent after the study, if not data is
