The First World War was a global war which lasted from 1914, July 28th to 1918 November 11th. The
war was mostly fought in Europe, but it also involved countries from around the world.

The Breakout of the War

The war started due to the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, in 1914 June 28th. The Austrian-
Hungarian Monarchy asked for permission from Serbia, to investigate the situation, but Serbia rejected
it.

The Austrian-Hungarian Monarchy declared war on Serbia on 1914 July 28th. Because Serbia was good
friend with the Russian Empire, Serbia called Russia, to attack A-H-M.(Austrian-Hungarian Monarchy).
Then the German Empire joined the war, because he didnt have a very good relation with Russia, but he
had a very good relation with A-H-M, so he attacked the Russian Empire, but France, with the UK
declared war on the German Empire.

The Most Important fights in WW1

• Battle of the Marne - 6-10 September 1914

• Battle of Jutland - 31 May - 1 June 1916 (Naval)

• Battle of Verdun - 21 February - 18 December 1916

• Battle of the Somme - 1 July - 18 November 1916

• Brusilov Offensive - 4 June - 20 September 1916

• German Spring Offensives - 21 March - 18 July 1918

The Ending of The War

The Ending of the war was pretty interesting, due to an Russian Revolution (October Revolution) which
lasted from 1917 October 25th to 1923. There's a myth that the Germans planned this, cause the battles
with France, and the Russian Empire were very bad. This revolution led by Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov
(Lenin), switched the Russian Government from a Tsar (Monarchy) system to a Communist Single-Party
system.

The First World War Ended on 1918 November 11th, after the German Empire announced the
surrender.

The Allies (France, UK, U.S, Serbia) forced Germany to admit that his fault was why the war broke out.

The Treaties were Brutal for the Central Powers (German Empire, A-H-M., Bulgaria, and The Ottoman
Empire).

The Allies : France, UK, U.S, Russian Empire (From 1914-1917 October), Portugal, Serbia

The Central Powers : German Empire, A-H-M., Bulgaria, Ottoman Empire.
