Unit 4 M1

Verbal communication is when the person speaks to a person, example for regent college a
member of staff and a students and I have talked about many examples of verbal communication in
P1, and Verbal communication has many advantages and disadvantages and one of the advantage
that it has is that there is no use of the technology to interact so that this would not waste natural
resources. The second advantage is that verbal communication is the fastest way to interact with the
person and this would not have time. There is also no cost to interact with a person. It is easier to
understand then other types of communication. In addition during verbal communication there can
also be nonverbal cues like the tone of the voice and the body language which might help the other
person understand more. The main advantage is that it can be done anywhere anytime and with
anyone. In my opinion verbal communication is the main communication out of all the
communication because it is the fastest and the easiest way to pass on information. Speech can be
direct and to the point. Some nonverbal communication such as gestures has different meanings in
different countries. However there are also some disadvantages of the communication and they are
that that it can be easily forgotten. The other disadvantage is that that the person might not be right
because there might be not legal evidence to prove that the person is right. Furthermore the person
can’t remember each and every point that has been said so that this could lead to a disadvantage.
Another disadvantage is that the poor presentation is the class by the teacher or the wrong
instruction by the teacher can result as a misunderstanding and also wrong responses.

Written communication is when information is passed on with written is when you send a
letter home for a student from the college and this both advantages and also disadvantages. The
first advantage is that the written communication is easy to preserve meaning that it can be used
many times. The other advantage is that that it is permanent record meaning that it can be used
after 100s of years if needed however it needs to be in a safe place. It is also accurate presentation
shows that written communication can present the information for accurately and clearly. It can also
be used for the future references. The main advantage is that written communication helps to
maintain the image of both person and the company. Written communication is also effective
communication because it helps to make communication effectively, it is more dependent and also
effective than those of the other forms of communication. But there are also many disadvantages
that might have been affecting Regent college in written communication and the first disadvantages
is that it is expensive then verbal communication because for this communication paper, pen, ink
and this means that a lots of employees are needed. The other disadvantage is that it is time
consuming because if a letter is sent home then it is expansive to post the letter and also takes time
to post the letter to reach to the students, so that this can also delay in response and also delay in
the decision making these results as a disadvantage. Written communication can also be hard to
read because it might have been using complex words and also the grammar of some people might
not be right which might result as misunderstanding and wrong responses.
