First business – RSPCA
Second business – apple
RSPCA, which stands for Royal society for the prevention of cruelty to animals, is a primarily
donation-based animal welfare charity that was established in 1824 by 3 men, William
Wilberforce, Arthur Broome and Richard Martin. This charity promotes kindness to animals,
rescues animals and helps suffering animals. The RSPCA rehomes, rehabilitates and rescues

The RSPCA is in the primary, secondary and tertiary sector as it finds the animals in need,
rehabilitates the animals, restoring them back to their full health and then rehomes them to
suitable homes that can cater to the animal's individual needs.
The purpose
RSPCA’s aim - ‘’Our vision is to one day live in a world where all
animals are respected and treated with compassion. And that is
what we work towards every day.’’ The RSPCA’S purpose is to
rehome, rehabilitate and rescue animals in need. The RSPCA
rescues the animals, investigates and acts on ongoing animal

The RSPCA’s ultimate goal is to make the world a safe and happy place for animals to thrive in
the habitat suited to them and their needs whether that be in the wild or in a warm safe home,
when rehoming an animal the RSPCA will consider the person rehoming the animals age,
experience, temperament, home size, garden size, occupants of the home, the amount of spare
time they have and any other pets living in the property
The RSPCA is a donation-based charity that promotes animal welfare, its donations come from
the public and its patron is Queen Elizabeth II.
The RSPCA’s scope of activities are rescue and care, the RSPCA continues to help animals in

, Chris Sherwood is the chief executor of the RSPCA, Chris has been working with the RSPCA since
august 2018, he has been involved with charities for 15 years. Chris’ role within the RSPCA is to
create new organizational structures, develop its digital services and grow Its campaigning
voice.
Chris is in charge of everyone and leads all the executives like the chief operating officer, chief
legal officer, chief veterinary officer, chief inspectorate officer, director of finance and business
services, director of people and culture, director of advocacy and policy, director of
engagement and income generation and the director of strategy and transformation. (ouur

Liability
The RSPCA is a non-profit organisation meaning it has unlimited liability which means it has full
liability over the financial side of the business, so any partners involved and owners are held

Organizational structure
The RSPCA has a flat organizational structure meaning between employees and the
management of the RSPCA there is no/few levels of management, the goal of a flat
organizational structure is to ensure there is little to no hierarchy therefore everyone is equal
and feels equally as important.
Charities like the RSPCA bring people together who have the same beliefs and visions, the
RSPCA brings together people who are against animal cruelty and believe animals have rights.
The RSPCA gives direct help to the animals, offers the animals support and raises awareness for
