In this packet you will find all the information you need to prepare for your class and the ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification Examination. I also strongly encourage you to review the ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification Examination Examinee Handbook to help you prepare for the certification exam. After you have finished reading the book, please complete the 80-question diagnostic test. Then, use the attached answer key to score your test. The answer key will point out problem areas and direct you to the appropriate section of the book for further study. Please send me a copy of your marked answer key in the enclosed envelope. You should read the entire Guide to assist you in understanding what to expect on the written exam. About the ServSafe International™ Food Safety Exam The Exam is designed to test an examinee’s understanding of food safety. It is a copyrighted exam and questions are rotated on a schedule basis to reflect the most update food safety information. Although the questions will vary from Exam to Exam, they provide a fair assessment of examinee’s knowledge. The Exam contains 80 multiple-choice questions. A minimum passing score requires an examinee to correctly answer 60 out of 80 scored questions. A country-specific Exam contains 90 multiple-choice questions. A minimum passing score on a country-specific Exam requires the examinee to correctly answer 68 out of 90 questions. It is to their advantage to answer every question, even if they have to guess. The Exam
