In this assignment I will describe how the monetary environment affects
businesses that operate internationally. For this assignment I have chosen
McDonalds as my business and I will also describe how UKTI, CBI, BCCI helps
them succeed.

McDonalds operate in tertiary sector mainly known for its fast food products, it is a
multi-national business that is operating in more than 120 countries and serves about
68 Million customers daily through their 36,000 outlets and 1.9 Million employees.

Both foreign and domestic monetary environments affect the way an
international business operates. Such as McDonalds would have to adapt to the
monetary environment of that particular country as it could differ a lot from the
other countries they already operate in. This means in order to succeed they
would have to be up to date with the environment they are operating under. I
will be explaining this in detail below with examples to support my answer.

The Confederation of business industry also known as CBI is a company that was
created in 1965 and devoted to businesses that operate internationally or
nationally. It was founded in UK and hence mostly operates within the UK and is
currently surveying 190,000 businesses. CBI aims to help the economic and
business related issues that restrict trade. This is because their trade association
members represent them and hence they offer their support to help businesses
to the best of their ability so that It functions smoothly.

The UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) is a UK government department, which was
formed in 2003 that works with businesses based in the United Kingdom to
assist their success in international markets, and those overseas investors, which
are looking to invest their money in UK. They encourage and support companies
to investment in the UK or elsewhere so that they can make most of their
business by helping them in whatever way possible. One of the main
responsibilities of UKTI is to encourage businesses to trade internationally and
encourage other businesses to invest in the UK so that the competition increases
and hence the quality of trade increases.

The British Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) is a system that was
formed in 1860 and now represents 92,000 businesses. The members range
from local businesses to multinational companies such as McDonalds. It was set
up with the aim to assist the businesses that want to increase their operations,
expand their size and to build a good reputation that is well known by its name.
BCCI does this by conducting seminars, meetings with well known people who
are known for their approach in the business sector, such as Warren Buffett.

Now I am going to discuss the ways through which McDonalds can access their
money when they are international and which institutions helps them to do so. I
will also show some ways, which they can use:

 Online Banking is the most convenient way for businesses to access their
funds on the go. This ranges from desktop computers to laptops and now
even Smartphones. This is offered by every bank and is also free of cost.
