M1 Unit 1

The different views of each stakeholder.
Customers will look at the business’s product and look at the price to see if it is suitable in terms of
price. If the product is of a reasonable price the customer will buy it but if it is not they will go to an
opposing business that satisfies their price need. The customers for Mercedes Benz will look for
quality if they are going to buy a car as it is well renounced for its high quality and the sense of
exclusivity that comes with the car. This means that if the car does not meet the pre-existing cars or
does not satisfy the expectations of the customers they will go to another make in the market to get
the same product thus Mercedes losing out on sales and profit. The customers will also want a range
to pick from as they might not like the one design that the business might have introduced or they
might want to buy something exotic from one of the Mercedes super car range. Also if they only
have one car they are not targeting all the customers on the market as some people won’t buy the
v=car because it’s too expensive or some people won’t buy it because it’s not exclusive enough.

The government will want to make sure that Mercedes Benz are following the rules and regulations
that are being set each year to insure the safety of the drivers. If these rules and regulations are not
met the government will not allow Mercedes Benz to sell their cars in the country as it will not be
safe for the drivers and could cause more accidents. The government will also look to see if
Mercedes are not causing too many environmental issues with their cars as this will raise issues for
the people in the country and the environment. They will try to limit the amount of CO2 emissions
that a car will output by introducing targets that the business will have to meet in order to keep
selling their motor vehicles. The government will also look at the competition in the market as they
would want the market to be competitive as this should reduce the prices making the cars
affordable for the consumers to buy. They will not want the business to gain too high of a market
share to the stage where it becomes a monopoly and can set the prices at a very high level as they
are the only people producing. To reduce the chances of this happening they will reduce the entry
level prices into the market by giving grants to the new businesses. For Oxfam the government will
want to know how the money is being spent. This is because the money can only be spent for the
charity needs and not on the other non-necessities like luxury cars for the owners. This is because
the government will have to tax the organisation if it is not using all the money for charitable
purposes. They will also want to know what the charity is doing to help in the LEDC’s because they
are funding the charity and will want to know what god is coming out of their donations.

The owners of Mercedes will look at the business and see the amount of revenue that is coming in
and will try to increase that hopefully increasing profit. This is because Mercedes is a business that
works on the basis of making profits the owner will also try to make the business grow as this will
mean it will hopefully get a higher percentage and could possibly make them a market leader. With
the growth of the business could come with the room for further development of the cars to make
them of even higher quality thus reaching the overall aim of the business to produce the highest
quality luxury motor vehicles. The owner will also be worried about the share prices of Mercedes as
this is a representation of if the business is doing well and it is worth investing in or if it is not doing
so well. As the owner has a majority share in the business he would want the share to be worth
more as it means that if he sells his shares they will be worth more. For the owner of Oxfam he will
be worried if the work that they are doing is making a difference to the people of the LEDC’s. The
owners want to know if they are achieving the original goal of providing the necessary things for
survival for the less fortunate people living in less developed countries. They will also have to worry
about the funding that they are getting and will try to find ways that it keeps on coming and does
not suddenly stop. This could be through governments or through the general public. The owners
will also have to try to find the least inexpensive source of quality food so that they can make the
money last longer. The Oxfam owners will also have to look on expanding to more LEDC’s so that
