Matrices for Masters
Matrices are an important mathematical tool that have wide applications in engineering, physics, economics, and statistics as well as in various branches of mathematics1. In the most general sense, matrices (and a very important special case of matrices, vectors) provide a way to generalize from single variable equations to equations with arbitrarily many variables2. Matrices also have important applications in computer graphics, where they have been used to represent rotations1
