Unit 8b assignment- Lymphatic system
B:Understand the impact of disorder of the lymphatic system and the associated corrective
treatment.
Assignment title: Impact of lymphatic disorder and associated treatments.
In this essay I am going to write about the lymphatic system and the disorders that come
with it and finally I will construct a case study by the disorder and evaluating it.
Introduction
The lymphatic system is one of the organ systems in the human body and is part of the
immune system in it helps prevent deadly viruses/ bacteria cause damage. The lymphatic
system consists of a giant network of vessels that extend through the different tissues of the
human body. The fluid known as the lymphatic fluid is close to the distribution of blood in
the body and the origin of the lymphatic fluid is in the plasma blood after the heart and
circulatory system leaks approximately two litters of blood every day to allow the tissues (to
function correctly) back to the lymphatic vessels and is known as the lymphatic fluid.
Lymphocytes work in combination with the veins to compensate this fluid. The Lymphatic
system has Lymph nodes, which fight of infection against, and the body has (normally)
around 600 Lymph nodes. The contrast works alongside the lymphatic system to provide the
function of the body such as the spleen and thymus. The lymphatic system also produces
and reproduces white blood cells known as Lymphocytes and these allow to fight against
deadly microbes by producing antibodies. The microbes include the following: Bacteria,
Viruses and GI cells.

the stomach. Long-chain fatty acids combine
to form a chylomicron, a large lipoprotein
structure that transports fats through the
lymphatic system.

The digestion of certain fats starts in the
mouth, where lingual lipase breaks down
short-chain lipids into diglycerides. The fat in
the small intestine causes the pancreas to
release lipase, and
bile from the liver
allows fats to be
broken down into
fatty acids.

Removal of fluid from tissues
Capillary filtration allows approximately 20 litres of plasma to penetrate the interstitial
space of the tissue of the human body on a regular basis. The interstitial fluid is the fluid
that filters out of the bloodstream into the tissue space; approximately 17 litres of this fluid
is reabsorbed back into the bloodstream. The remaining 3 litres are drained by the
lymphatic system and discharged into the bloodstream through vessel trunks and ducts.
Maintenance of hydrostatic pressure
The pressure in the capillary varies from +10 to -7 during the filtration and reabsorption
process. The pressure of fluids due to the force per unit area exerted by a liquid on an
object is known as hydrostatic pressure. The capillary hydrostatic pressure, which is the
pressure of filtration inside the lymphatic system, pushes fluid out of the blood capillaries.
This hydrostatic pressure is caused by the heart moving blood into the narrow arterial
segment within the capillaries. The fluid that circulates within the body includes oxygen and
nutrients, which are consumed by body tissue.
Absorption of fats from the digestive system
Absorption of fats (from the small intestine) are transported
in the vinos circulation system, which is made up of an
integrated system of veins and sinuses.
