needs.

Paragraph 1:
In this coursework I will be explaining the strategies and communication techniques
used with individuals different needs to overcome different challenges. I will also be
assessing the strategies and communication techniques used to overcome
different challenges faced by individuals with different care and support needs. Also,
I will justify the strategies and techniques used to overcome ethical issues and
challenges experienced by individuals with different needs when planning and
providing care.
Paragraph 2:
The four types of challenges that could be faced are practical challenges,
motivational challenges, communication challenges and skills challenges.
Practical challenges are when people may struggle to do practical things for
themselves for example washing, cooking, dressing etc. A service provider may not
be able to offer the best possible care due to the lack of resources. Practicable refers
to an idea of being able to carry out normal day to day activities and chores.
Motivational challenges are when people may lack the motivation to lose weight.
Also, a service prover may lack the drive to improve their service. Motivational
challenges can be caused by the fear of failure in trying to gain a goal or lack of
clarity. Lacking clarity means you are uncertain and never feel settled because you
do not have clear plan. Communication challenges is when people may struggle to
communicate with people. Whether this is because they lack people skills or
because they are old and are losing their confidence in speech. Skills challenges is
when people may not always have skills, they need to do certain things. This can
also be applicable to service providers.
Paragraph 3:
A challenge that Nusrat might face is a skills challenge. Because Nusrat has
learning disabilities, she may find it challenging to participate in some of the activities
held at her community center. This problem was discovered through informal
discussions with individuals. This is because Nusrat has an advocate who would
have interacted with her informally so that she would not feel judged or questioned.
As a result, Nusrat's advocate would have understood her wants and wishes, and he
,Name: Aksa Ali 33202
would have discovered that she has learning difficulties and experiences obstacles.
One strategy that could be used to help the challenge that Nusrat is facing is
clinical audits. This is when a care plan is adjusted to improve a service users' care
and outcomes after seeing the result of a challenge. Its main purpose is to make an
individual's care more efficient for them so that their health and welfare can improve
more quickly. One strength of Nusrat employing this method to overcome
obstacles is that it will ensure that Nusrat maintains an important level of care.
So Nusrat will be prioritised, and she will participate in activities at her community
center that are tailored to her abilities rather than her capabilities, making it easier for
Nusrat to participate in community center activities. Another strength is that
clinical auditing is an effective method for overcoming challenges. Clinical audit
also motivates professionals to provide the best possible care to service users to the
best of their abilities, according to Nusrat. This means that making a change to
Nusrat's care plan will encourage her healthcare providers to do their best and
collaborate with her needs so that they can offer the finest care possible for her
health and well-being. However, a weakness is adjusting for Nusrat may mean
that other individuals at the community center discriminate against Nusrat because
the community center may do simple activities for Nusrat's benefit, but the other
people may think it is too easy and boring. Another weakness in clinical audit is
that it may not be focused solely on Nusrat's requirements, but on the service
provider's results. So, the service provider might not consult Nusrat about the
changes in her care plan but still go ahead with them because they may provide
better results for her. However, Nusrat may not be comfortable with the new
adjustments, so it is important to establish Nusrat's permission before making
changes in her care for her health and wellbeing.
Paragraph 4:
One challenge that Nusrat confronts in life is a skills challenge. Nusrat's
learning issues make it difficult for her to complete certain activities since she lacks
the necessary abilities. Clinical audits are one technique that could be utilised to
solve Nusrat's skills barrier. This technique may be beneficial to Nusrat since it
will assist Nusrat's support providers in determining where Nusrat is doing
well and what they can do to demonstrate it, making things easier for her.
Clinical audits can also assist Nusrat in making adjustments that make her feel more
at ease and less discriminated against by the other members of her community
center. This care will have to be organised in a safe manner. For example, if the
clinical audits used for Nusrat are not assisting her, then it is pointless to have that
clinical audit in place for Nusrat because it is not advantageous for her to overcome
her skills issue so that customised treatment cannot be provided. This plan will
benefit Nusrat because it will provide her with a standard of best practice, resulting in
an improvement in her care at the community center, as well as modifications that
will make it easier for her to participate in activities and learn new abilities to
overcome her skills issue. This is important because Nusrat will feel more self-
sufficient and confident since she will not be discriminated against because she is
unable to perform various chores and activities at the community center as well as
the other members. However, if this method is applied incorrectly when
, Name: Aksa Ali 33202
overcoming obstacles, Nusrat may suffer negative consequences. This is
because Nusrat's learning difficulties make it much more difficult for her to grasp
onto certain things at a faster rate than people who do not have learning difficulties.
As a result, she may find it more difficult to read a book with large words, so she will
need to be given smaller books with fewer pages and simpler words. However, if
Nusrat's clinical audit required her to pass large books with long words, it would be
more difficult for her to read them, and she might lose interest in reading books of
any kind since she believes she is incapable of doing it. As a result, Nusrat will
require a more person-centered approach as well as more one-on-one support from
her healthcare providers to assist her in doing things that others can do and
overcoming her skills challenge.
Paragraph 5:
A motivational challenge could be one of Alice's challenges. This is due to
Alice's lack of desire or motivation to stop consuming alcohol. This challenge is
identified by observation. Alice's drinking issue was not getting any better, as
people at the aerobics class had observed her smelling of alcohol on a regular basis.
Educational informational products are one technique that could be used to
help overcome problems. This is when there are materials available on current
thinking on subjects, such as healthy living, or even challenges that people may
face, such as quitting smoking, or even funding that is available. One strength of
Alice's ability to use this method to overcome problems is helped by the
availability of educational instructional materials. They are available online or at
public locations such as physicians' offices, dentists' offices, libraries, and shops. As
a result, educational information materials are a suitable technique for Alice to
overcome obstacles. Another strength of Alice's technique is that it allows her
to use these materials to assist her solve hurdles rather than going to a face-to-
face meeting, which Alice may prefer, rather than always talking about her problems.
However, one weakness is educational informational materials may not be the
best technique for assisting Alice in overcoming obstacles because she may
require more one-on-one support from a professional, particularly in the case of her
alcohol addiction. Another weakness in educational informational resources as
a strategy for overcoming problems for Alice is that a leaflet for Alice on alcohol
addiction may not be acceptable, especially when it is a delicate topic that should be
handled in a separate way ethically.
Paragraph 6:
One challenge that Alice faces in her life is an acceptance and belief challenge.
Alice may be difficult to face life without her husband because of his sudden death,
and she may resort to alcohol in the belief that it would help her deal. Educational
factual items could be one technique for overcoming Alice's acceptance and
believing issue. This technique might work for Alice because she can quickly
access the items at the community centre. Additionally, the materials should
include helpful information on how to cope with loss or addiction, as well as
advertisements for group therapy to assist her in developing good coping methods.
This care will need to be carefully planned and delivered in a private manner. This
