KgalagadiTV is a commercially owned paid television channel based in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa. The Kenyan government
has recently granted the television company a license to operate commercially in the Kenyan market. By doing this they hope to grow their
market share, streamline operations, create employment and increase profitability. To do this successfully, they intend to implement a more
fluid structure that will allow for easier communication across the different countries. They are doing away with brick-and-mortar offices and
team structures to leverage their human resources in the two countries to collaborate on various projects. A new communication Time left 2:41:18
strategy is
also planned to ensure that the new brand image is communicated consistently to its clients in different countries. To pave the way for the
launch of the Kenyan Branch of KgalagadiTV, a high delegation meeting has been set up in Nairobi with key stakeholders to discuss a plan
of action to launch in the country. Basounyi Hassani, Chairperson of the board at KgalagadiTV chairs this meeting with the assistance of the
Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Sibiya Themba. While there are many official languages in Kenya, upon its launch in Kenya, incidentally, all the
presenters of KgalagadiTV spoke in English only, with very basic and loosely translated subtitles into Kiswahili. What kind of communication
barriers will viewers experience?

a. Physiological barriers
b. Status and position
c. Perceptual differences
d. Semantic barriers
