The Essay
How has your understanding of the challenges of the human experience been
shaped by the directors use of mise-en-scene in your prescribed text?
Texts enable us to empathize with experiences different to our own. In particular, a
text’s manipulation of mise-en-scene enables us to glean the challenges associated
with these different experiences, and thus, come to a greater understanding of the
world in which we live in.
Higher responses consider how and why human experiences are constructed in
texts.
From meaning, we are able to gain value from the text. How do your texts invite the
