A. Hypoxia: An inadequate (or a decrease in) oxygen at the tissue (cellular) level. Signs and symptoms: Anxiety; Decreased O2 concentration; Disorientation; Fatigue; Vertigo; Behavioral changes; Tachycardia then advances to Bradycardia; Respirations increase, then advance to shallow and slow breathing; B/P elevates at first, then decreases if not corrected (O2 therapy); Cardiac dysrhythmias; Pallor, cyanosis; Clubbing of the fingers; and dyspnea.
