My goal or objective is to implement an instant-messaging system. I believe this will aid in solving the problem of miscommunication and, in turn, achieve a better patient outcome. My plan combines change, leadership, and collaboration literature and theories to achieve the desired outcome for the organization. The effects of miscommunication in healthcare can adversely affect the patient outcome and decrease profit. It may also lead to the patients relapsing, given the wrong medication, delayed treatment, or malpractice lawsuits.
