Evaluate the benefits and drawbacks to society of increasing business online
Positives
Communication with family, friends and relatives is faster
Another positive is that I allow people to communicate with family and
friends across the world for free using things such as Skype, whatsapp and
others
There is a great possibility to earn while working from home
It is now possible to earn online through thank to the internet. This is a
positive because if let’s just if people can’t get a job they can create their
own business online and earn without living their house.
Negatives
Loss of the human touch because people become too addicted to
things such as online games which are powered by online businesses.
When people become addicted they tend to replace what they do on day
to day bases with online activities and start to forget the real people in
their surroundings who are in need of their attention or have socialisation
needs the reason why people become addicted is because Social
networking gives more importance to virtual friends than real ones.
Abandonment of family because people become too hooked and start
to replace their family with online games for example, a couple in Korea
forgot to feed their real who died of hunger because they were too busy
with their virtual baby. Now a days because the internet full of addictive
things people easily become absorbed by the hidden hand of the internet
into its lair.
All in all the benefits over power the drawbacks because the negative only
happen to 1 out 10 people compared to the positives which happens to 9
out of 10 because almost everyone uses online businesses such as Tesco,
Asda and Sainsbury’s which provides online services which allows
customers to order groceries rather than the customers going to the shop.
Another benefit is that as online business continues to grows it starts to
spread to other countries and allows those other countries to use what
their online service. For example whatsapp was first of all only available in
countries such as America and UK but as it became famous it started to
spread to less developed countries like DR Congo, Zimbabwe and Zambia
and the reason this is beneficial to the less developed countries is
because it allows them to communicate with family and friends for free so
for this reasons I think an increase in online business benefits society
