Unit 6 – Website Development
Introduction
The following report consists of a project I have been asked to do complete. In this report, I will be
discussing the plan and requirements for the designing of a website in order for me to develop a
new section for the company’s web site. The company is called Computer Systems Inc, they are a
technological company based in Manchester, England and own a few stores around the rest of the
country. They have now contacted Hot Beans Web to create a website for them so they can grow
their business to parts of the world they would not have been able to reach before. From this, I have
been given assets from the scenario for the website I will be making, and this would include the
requirements of the project, the site map of the website and the number of pages the website will
have. Furthermore, I will design the website by using storyboard templates to show a preview of
how my website is laid out and how the use of assets will be positioned before development.
When developing the website, I will be including use of screenshots to show evidence of my website
and testing will also be required to show that my website works on a range of different devices and
platforms such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox on laptops, desktops, or
mobile devices. In addition to this, I will create two versions of my website to include both original
and optimised version. Once I have created the original version, I will gather feedback by asking two
clients to revise my website and ask what their thoughts are. Subsequently, based on the feedback
received, I will make any improvements on my website to optimise it and ensure it works
expectedly. Once I have designed and developed the website, I will evaluate it against the client

requirements, taking into consideration that I have met these and recommend any further
improvements if needed.
Purpose of Computer Systems Inc
I have been asked to design a website for a company that sells technology products mainly them
being PC’s, laptops, monitors, keyboards, phones, cameras and much more. The website is being
designed for people to be able to read up on the website and see what they are selling and where
they are based, and even read up about the owners. This allows people to be more connected with
the business and read up about what they would like and see what exactly they sell. If they are
interested, they will be given the option to buy if they would like to.
Target Audience
The target audience for the website that I am creating will be aimed at everyone. Since the business
is in the technology business it would be foolish to limit to certain groups of people. As everyone
male, female, young or old could be in need on a computer, mobile phone, camera, or anything else.
Client Requirements
Computer Systems Inc has wanted me to deliver relevant content to the website I will be developing
and the requirements for this will include the following:
A profile of the company itself
Profiles of each member of staff
Information on each product and business
An online contact form
Links to information regarding business, such as the history or information pages on the
product
