Annotated Bibliography
Beck, Christina S., et al. Celebrity Health Narratives and the Public Health. McFarland &
Company, Inc., Publishers, 2015.
This book is about our relationship with celebrities and how it effects the way we think. It
talks about how we idolize someone so much that we form a relationship without even
meeting them. We form these relationships by looking at magazines about them in the
checkout line at the grocery store. The book talks about how they affect our everyday lives
and our everyday thinking.
This source is very useful because it is taking a different approach then the different
articles but still makes a strong argument about celebrity influence. This book still has a lot
of similarities with my other sources with how we the people get affected by them in both a
negative and a positive way. The information in the book is reliable because they cite very
strong sources and have a lot throughout the book.
This fits in my research because not only does it development my research even more but it
makes it stronger. It backs up my thesis statement and it helps shape my argument to help
show the different ways celebrities influence us normal people. This source has changed
the way I think because it has helped me be more aware of the way we get influenced and
how often we get influenced.
