A Message from the Developers
‘’The past 8 weeks were the most valuable weeks of my studies at NHL
Stenden. I genuinely enjoyed this minor, and it opened my eyes to the other
side of hotels. I was well aware of the operational side but researching the
process of hotel openings was something new for me and I loved this
experience. Having an involved expert, Gert, into this minor as well as the
insightful guest lectures made me get most possible out of this experience.
I have the ambitions to open a number of properties in a later stage of my life
and I can’t be more thankful for this opportunity. I would like to express my
gratitude to Megan for this educational, fun and organized minor &
experience!’’ – 2022, R.W.
‘’Since the first year of International Hospitality Management, I knew I wanted
to participate in this minor. I think it is a very interesting minor with many guest
lectures. It was very interesting to learn about all the hotel brands by means of
the student let seminars.
I think this minor has been very useful, because I always have been very
intrigued by opening my own business.’’ – 2022, M.T.
‘’Since the beginning of my studies in Hospitality Management, I've been
fascinated by the entire process of establishing a hotel. This minor has been
a great addition to the many classes I've taken over the last three years.
Aside from learning about the opening process, I found it interesting to hear
about other people's experiences during the guest lectures.’’ – 2022, K. vd L.
