P1 Outline the principles of systems analysis
Organisations are required to keep developing new systems because of
different reasons;
The need for growth – expansion to national or international places
Increasing Productivity – altering automation, using robots
Legal Requirements – New restrictions made by the government
What is a development life cycle?
This is a cycle that you follow so that you do all the required things like
defining what you’re making, users needs and then designing and testing it.
Why is it used?
Its used to follow different steps that are required
Its needed so that the system is designed before being made
Design, Implementation, Testing
Following stages to complete it will make it more effective
<Explain reasons why an organisation would develop new systems>
Must use correct terminology e.g. Key drivers and give examples of key drivers
An organisation may need to keep developing new systems because they need to
consider some different factors within key drivers like; “the need for growth” for
example, this is important for a business/company to grow and expand into new
places whether that’s national or international. Increasing productivity is also
another key factor simply because once a company hits a certain milestone they
need to up how much stock they have due to more traction to what they are
selling. Legal requirements are noticed in any company and need to be followed,
these are issued by the government and in a company, they need to follow an
example of this could be the GDPR act that was recently brought out and
everyone had to change their terms and conditions to make sure it included this.

A life cycle is a sequence of things that you need to follow when completing a
program of some sort. First you need to establish what the program is
(Initiation), then you need to see how feasible it is meaning how the project is
considered. From there you need to see what the users’ needs are (Investigation)
and figure out their requirements for the Analysis stage. Once that has been
done the designing can start, Implementation; this is important to know where
the system is built. Testing is the most important to make sure the system
