Website Development
Introduction
In this assignment I will be working as a junior web developer for a small company that crates
websites for business and organisations. The company that I will be working for (the client) is Rustic
Planters. In this project I will be expected to meet some requirements to produce a final product
that I suitable for the target audience. Some of the requirements are to include a homepage,
product page, enquiries form and a about us page. I have been told that anything I would like to
include that is suitable can be added. I need a minimum of 4 pages and minimum of 2 different
designs (Storyboards). I must have a consistent use of text, colour schemes and page styles in all the
web pages. I must include original and ready-made assets alongside with embedded multimedia
such as videos and other elements such as maps that might have a use.
I have been asked to include animations, digital graphics, audio, and digital video. My website should
also include interactive features e.g. a fully working contact form that sends emails once the form
has been submitted. I will also have to produce a set of wireframes for each website design and a
detailed site map that shows all the routes across the pages.
This is the time frame that I will be following for the completion of this project. The reason why I
have used a online time frame creator is to save time. As you can see I have a very little time for this
project. We started the project on the 7th of June, and we have been expected to finish on the 2nd of
July and this is where my time frame ends. I have non used too much detail for this time frame such
as time that will take me to complete each stage, but I have ensured that a time scale is presented. I
will be expecting to receive my designs & feedback roughly around the 18th of June and complete
the development stage nearly a week before the deadline. Overall for this project I think I was quite
short on time as I had a lot of ideas that I wanted to do, but sadly I had to remove them from my list
because I don’t have enough time to do them and enough resources.
