, EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This report aims to analyse the benefits and challenges that human resource management
has in hiring and keeping an older workforce. It is evaluated how human resource
management could effectively manage the implementation of recruitment methods for
older workers. The approach starts from the cases studied in the education and health
sectors and extends in a panoramic view of the challenges that the UK faces in the face of
current demographic and social changes. Carrying out an early assessment of the
challenges, promoting the necessary changes and measures in the different work sectors,
can improve human resource management, the responsibility of citizens and generate a
positive impact on both health and well-being (Strudwick and Kirkpatrick, 2013).
