1. The test will cover the topics covered in the first four (4) lectures. The test will be 1-hour long and consist of a series of 30 multiple-choice questions. The questions can be theoretical or mathematical. 2. Students will be required to complete a project based on the content of the first six (6) lectures. Students will form groups of 4 in order to complete the project. Students should complete the group sign-up form and return it to their lecturer by week 3. Students who do not return the form will be allocated to a group and will then have a further week to meet with group members, complete the form and return it to the lecturer. Students who do not follow this guideline will be allocated a score of zero for the assessment. Once assigned to a group it is not possible to change. The completed project should be not more than 10 sides of A4 - excluding references, tables, diagrams, and appendices (Font face must be Times New Roman, Font size not less than 11 and line-spacing at least 1.5). Binding, folders, etc. should NOT be used. A hard copy should be handed to your lecturer, and an electronic copy submitted through turnitin on or before the start of the lecture in Week 12. The assignment will be assessed by the lecturer according to the criteria contained in the assessment form that is available on Blackboard. Students are required to attach this assessment form as front page to the assignment. Further details are provided on Blackboard. 3. The final exam will focus on topics covered in the 2nd half of the course (ethics and fixed income). The final exam will be 2-hours long and consist of a combination of multiple-choice questions and structured answer questions. The questions may be theoretical or numerical. Students will be allowed to take one page of A4 (written on both sides) into the exam. No formula sheet will be provided.
