Importance of the different agencies involved.
Fire investigators can collaborate with a variety of agencies. Each of these can aid in life preservation,
evidence collection, and determining the source of the fire, as well as repairing and preventing any
more damage.
As shown down below there are multiple agencies involved in fire investigation and each has a
specific role to play in finding out how, why and when a fire started, figuring out who is responsible or
at fault and if any one was injured or died as a result of the fire then thercause of death will need to be
found.

Fire services – extinguish fire and determine cause of fire:
Specialist fire safety officers examine fires that result in a person's death, and then submit a report to
the coroner's office for an inquest.
