, Answer: In this fast-forwarding digital era, a company or business website is the
“storefront” to make the first impression (Kaelin, 2019). Regardless of where your
domain name, you need the space, called web-host to stream it live which can be
group/individual providing the infrastructure (web-server space and bandwidth) for
website-owners to publish their website (Sabin-Wilson, 2016, p.20-21). Choosing the
right hosting (e.g.HostGator) for website can ascertain the business future success
and performance improvement. Following are some of the factors need to
considered (measurable (Cost, uptime) or subjective (support service)).
Identify the website needs
We need to ask questions such as “what type of website we create?” or
“How much traffic we anticipate?” (Tambe, 2018). These questions can lead us
to find the right and suitable hosting for our website. Web-hosting services are
categorized into following groups of Shared (More than one website is stored on
a server), Dedicated (Single Server host a Single Website) and Cloud hosting
(Virtual Private Servers-VPS) (Many websites will be hosted on a cloud-based
server) (Kaelin, 2019).
Servers Security, Reliability, Scalability and Uptime
A website security is a compulsory criterion should be considered. Hence, a web-
hosting should provide all means and resources to establish a secure, stable and
updated infrastructure (OS patches, firewalls and security protocols to prevent
DDoS attacks and assure the confidentiality of user and customer sensitive data
and information) for a website. There are various tools to help monitoring a web-
host performance but the main factor is the uptime. The standard uptime should
be 99.95% and below 99% is the red flag should be avoided. This rate impact
