Organizational Behavior (OB)
The multidisciplinary field that seeks knowledge of behaviour in organizational
settings by systematically studying individual, group and organizational
processes. (Greenberg, 2005)
The study of factors that affect how individual and groups act in organizations
and how organizations respond to their environments (George & Jones, 2005)

OB seeks to improve organizational effectiveness and the quality of life at work.

OB applies the scientific method to practical managerial problems. (Greenberg,
2005, p.5)
OB-knowledge is used both by scientists interested in understanding human
behaviour and by practitioners interested in enhancing organizational
effectiveness and individual well-being. (Greenberg, 2005, p.4)
Organizations in which people work happily and effectively can benefit greatly.

Human side of work is critical to the effective functioning – and basic existence –

2. De manier waarop processen worden aangepakt: ‘De organisatie van een
inschrijvingen aan de KU Leuven.’
