Maintenance Stage
People generally achieve their highest advancement during the maintenance stage,
devoting a considerable amount of their energies to developing and guiding others
with less experience. This stage brings a great deal of satisfaction to some - notably
those who have achieved their career goals. But others find disappointment and
frustration - especially those who have not been particularly effective or who have
failed to reach career objectives and must consider new directions.
Case study : “Naledi has always tried to make the work environment a better place
for the nursing staff. Their wellbeing has been a big priority for her”

done very well.Despite this, the hospital authorities are not even considering her for

not prepared to consider her as a possible candidate”
