ATI Test A Critical Points 1. Reduction of Risk Potential a. Patients with anorexia nervosa can present with hypotension and possible orthostatic hypotension, bradycardia (hospitalization required if pulse 40), and decreased body temperature. b. Personality change is gradual. 2. Safety and Infection Control a. Interventions for child who has ADHD include: i. Use calm and firm approach ii. Use modeling to show acceptable behavior iii. Short and clear explanations iv. Set clear limits on behavior and be consistent v. Plan physical activities through which child can use energy and obtain success vi. Reward system vii. Provide safe environment viii. Assist in developing coping mechanisms
