Complete the following document individually for inclusion into your Task
2 submission.

The various agencies involved in major UK incidents and their
roles
In any major UK incident, a number of different agencies are involved in
managing the incident (immediate) and the longer-term effects
(aftermath). Using the table below, identify 6 UK agencies that would be
involved in the management of a major incident and describe what role
they would play by using 2 examples per agency.

Agency 1: police
the police are responsible for preparing a report about what has
happened, they interview witnesses, victims and suspects from
incidents asking questions about what has happened. the
police make sure to maintain law in their local areas and

on the 22nd march 2017 outside the palace of

detained around 12 people during the investigation. An
officer, PC Keith palmer, was fatally injured with a knife
by Masood . The police then shot Khalid Masood in the
chest where he died at the scene of the incident. The
police set up cordons on the bridge to preserve the scene
and stop the traffic from entering. Helped people who
were injured in the attack. Identifying missing injured
and dead Family liaison officers talking with families of
victims of the attack and providing support Media,
controlling what information that gets publicised. Started
investigations into the incident and securing evidence at
the scene of the incident. At 11:00pm the police raided a
flat on Hagley Road in Birmingham, which was thought to
