The Health History and Health Assessment Brittany Lieber Chamberlain College of Nursing NR 304: Health Assessment II March Session, 2018 1 Running head: Health History and Assessment Subjective Data: Health History Mrs. G.L. is a 47 year old female American. Mrs. G.L. is of Greek descent, her grandparents immigrating from Greece in the 1930s, making her thirdgeneration GreekAmerican. Mrs. G.L. is fully employed as a sixth grade reading and language arts teacher by Chicago Public Schools. She arrives at work early each day, and stays much later than the school day on a normal basis. I received the opportunity to speak with Mrs. G.L. in a private environment at a family function. Here, I conducted my interview and assessment. Mrs. G.L. is an oliveskinned woman standing at about five feet three inches tall, married, with three children, between the ages seventeen and twentyone. She speaks English primarily and Greek on occasion. She is of the Greek Orthodox faith, and attends church regularly on Sundays. Her idea of health is being free of disease, eat healthily, have a healthy figure, and sound mind. She also believes that in order to be healthy a person must have goodstanding morals. Mrs. G.L. thinks of herself to be social, considering her being very close to her children, parents, husband, and a few close friends and colleagues.
