Proper care put in place will help in the reduction of pressure ulcers among elderly patients because they often never heal or continue to worsen as a result of poor healing wound process among the elderly. Delegating a wound care team to oversee both prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers among hospitalized patients are essential to help reduce occurrence and better improve patient’s outcome.
