Develop a Computer Network



My final design has more than two computer systems, a server, network cabling and a switch therefore
it meets all the requirements for developing my network.




I’m going to use Windows 10 as my operating system because it is optimized, more reliable and well-
developed operating system.



I’m going to use a Wired Network Adapter in my network developing process.



Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller is the Ethernet wired
adapter for my network.




Windows Defender is going to be the
main anti-virus of this network because it can protect against any malicious files that could access the
PC.

, This is the IP Properties for the connection of my Ethernet (Wired Network Adapter), I applied these
settings so that it can match up the workstation, TCP/IPv4 will only be used throughout this connection
because it will create a quicker and safer connection for the workstation. This is how the IP will be set
up.




I used CMD (Command Prompt) to test the connectivity of the workstation’s new IP Address or network
using the ping command which will give the result of the connection status and show if the internet is
working or not.
