There are many benefits of work experience. Work experience helps you decide
what you might want to do for your career. It gives you an understanding on what
career or job is suitable for you. It allows you to put the theory about what you
have learnt into practice by providing good experiences within a particular
occupation. Doing this would prove whether the particular career you have
selected is suitable for you, it helps you identify your interests, whether it meets
your expectation or if it’s the right career for you. Work experience would
persuade you to follow the career path based on your experiences. This is helpful
because it gives you an insight about the career path you would want to follow,
allowing you to make ultimate decisions on whether you enjoy the role and if you
believe it’s the right one for you. Work experience can either confirm or deny a
possible career path for you therefore allowing you to make progress either
towards the same career or towards a different career. After gaining experiences
of the working world it will be easier for you to decide whether you should
continue with this career or change to a different path that meets your
understanding and needs. Without work experience you would not have the
understanding of working and what is expected of you. This will allow you to
develop career decisions. The importance of gaining experience in that particular
field of work can give you an insight into what a typical work routine could
potentially look like. The work placement can ensure that the tasks and activities
involved in that particular job role are best suited for you and work in favour of
your strengths. It also helps you ensure whether you are satisfied with the
expectations. It can give a demo for students like me to decide which career
pathway is the best suited for me.

potential problems in the future and how to deal with them. This will be
