Learners are challenged to synthesize previously learned knowledge from general education and nursing courses as they integrate critical thinking skills and apply clinical judgment to provide competent, safe, quality, patient-centered care under the supervision of a preceptor and/or clinical faculty member. Learners will also be required to collaborate with patients, families, and members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, effectively communicate, incorporate the use of information technology, and demonstrate professional behaviors and leadership skills while in the clinical setting. Standardized testing will be used in this course to assist the learner in the evaluation of their knowledge and in preparation for the NCLEX-RN®.
