Implement the use of social media in a business
C1 Creating accounts and profiles
Sign-up, creation and administration of social media website
business accounts.
In this section I'm going to create two social media accounts which is Facebook and Instagram
according to my plan. This is because during my meeting and research I found out that these two
social media accounts match up with Autohaven demographic and target audience.
Facebook




The screenshot next to this shows me signing up to Facebook where I have entered my details and
information about the company. I have used their business email address to sign up with Facebook
since it will be me and Autohaven who will be monitoring it. Also using the same email maintains a
professional image because it’s important to have consistency to keeping customers' trust and
appear as a well-established and genuine business.

Instagram
On this screenshot I’m setting up my Instagram account in order to set up my
page to post and communicate with users. During this process I faced a few
issues trying to sign up to Instagram with a Facebook account. This is because
my intention was to link the two social media accounts together in order to
create a fast and easy way to reach multiple customers streams with the click
of one button. However, this didn’t allow me so I went forth on signing up to
Instagram without linking to Facebook, but I would do this later on
manually.

After signing up, the screenshots to the right shows how the profile page looks like. As you can tell,
currently the profile page doesn't clearly reflect the company itself as it lacks numerous things such
as brand image and purpose.

On this section I have customised the business profile page by adding a logo and a summary bio of
the business under the profile photo. This is to allow customers to easily recognise and
remember Autohaven by the logo as it provides a foundation for increasing brand awareness and
helps them to connect with their audience. Unfortunately, I am disappointed in the fact that
Instagram and Facebook don’t give an option to customise the background colour.

account from malicious hackers and the passwords.
