, 1. Reproductive Health and Respectful Care
Women's health nursing spans prevention, reproductive health, pregnancy, birth, postpartum care, and health across the
lifespan.
Use respectful, nonjudgmental communication, explain procedures, protect privacy, and seek informed consent. Ask about
preferences and access needs rather than making assumptions.
A complete history may include menstrual and pregnancy history, medications, allergies, medical conditions, social
supports, and safety concerns when appropriate.

• Name two areas in a reproductive health history.
Answer key
• It supports autonomy and informed participation in care.
