Task 1: Integrating Technology
A.
1. Students copying and pasting, or plagiarism, is one ethical issue that
might arise while utilizing computers in the classroom. This is an ethical
dilemma since it becomes legal trouble when students attempt to pass off
someone else's work as their own by copying and pasting it. When they are
just starting, most students commit plagiarism because they don't know
what it is or why it is wrong. It is essential to educate students about
plagiarism and appropriate techniques for paraphrasing material from
articles into their own words.
2. Teaching students the definition of plagiarism and the appropriate
techniques for properly citing authors and their works in their essays is one
method for dealing with plagiarism. The likelihood that your students will
commit plagiarism will decrease if they are informed on what it is and how to
avoid it.
B.
1. Create a slide show presentation on a student-selected, school
appropriate topic.
2. Chromebooks and Google Docs access will be provided to students
so they can make a slide show.
3. A quick tutorial on utilizing Google Docs to create a slideshow will be
taught to the students. The lesson plan will walk students through the
process of opening Google Docs, creating a new slideshow, selecting a
theme, adding more slides, using templates, adding text and photographs,
and more. The teacher will guide the class through the process of opening
Google Docs and logging into their Chromebooks. Giving students an
example of how to utilize a Chromebook and make a slideshow will make it
easier for them to make their own.
4. Because Chromebooks offer so many accessibility features to
support a diverse population, using one is beneficial for various learners. In
addition to having a screen reader and being compatible with Braille devices
