Abduction
also known as "inference to the best explanation" is a category of reasoning subject to
inductive criteria in which the conclusion is supposed to explain the truth of the premises
ex: It is 5 pm on a Monday, and the mail did not come. The mailman is never late. It must be a
holiday.
Argument, premise, conclusion
