DUE DATE: 13 OCTOBER 2026
The Influence of Educational Leadership on Teacher Performance in Public Schools:
Challenges, Practices and Support
1. Methodological Orientation
The methodology provides a systematic framework for investigating the influence of
educational leadership on teacher performance in public schools. A clearly developed
methodology is important because it establishes how information will be collected, analysed
and interpreted to address the research objectives. Educational leadership plays an
important role in establishing school direction, supporting teachers, coordinating teaching
and learning activities, encouraging professional development and creating conditions that
promote effective teaching. Leadership practices can therefore influence how teachers
understand their responsibilities and experience their professional roles.
This study will use a qualitative methodology to explore teachers' and school leaders'
experiences and perceptions of educational leadership and teacher performance.
Qualitative research is appropriate when a study seeks to understand experiences,
meanings and perspectives within a particular social context (Creswell & Poth, 2018). The
research will focus on the experiences of individuals who are directly involved in school
leadership and teaching.
The study will use semi-structured interviews to generate detailed information from
purposively selected participants. The information obtained through the interviews will be
analysed thematically to identify patterns and meanings within the data (Braun & Clarke,
2021). The study will also address research trustworthiness through credibility,
dependability, confirmability and transferability. Ethical procedures will be followed
throughout the research process to protect participants and their information.
