DHI Exam 1 – Complete Study Guide + Mock Exam: A complete, exam-focused study guide for DHI Written Exam 1, covering Lectures 1–4 and the required literature. The guide combines the lecture content, key theories, required papers and important concepts into one clear and structured document, specifically designed for exam preparation. Instead of summarising every paper separately, the material is organised around the learning objectives and concepts you actually need to understand and apply during the exam. It includes explanations of topics such as digital health equity, codesign and user involvement, behaviour change theory, BCTs, ABCDs, persuasive design, conflicting requirements and requirement specification, with the relevant authors and studies clearly linked to each concept. Also included is a realistic 60-minute mock exam covering all four lectures, followed by separate model answers, so you can first test yourself and then compare your reasoning with a complete example answer. What you get: Complete summary of Weeks 1–4 - Required literature integrated into the lecture material - Key authors, theories and findings you need to recognise - Important definitions and exam-ready explanations - Examples to make difficult concepts easier to understand - Visuals/frameworks connected to the theory - Connections between the different weeks - Full mock exam + model answers - Designed specifically for open-ended application questions Basically: one document to go from “what am I even supposed to know?” to being able to explain, apply and critically evaluate the DHI material.

SUMMARY DHI:
EXAM PART 1

Content of Lectures 1 - 4
Q1A 2026-2027 Master Health Sciences

,Open book

During an open book exam, you have full access to most study materials, including:

• Selected chapters of the book “eHealth Research, Theory and Development: A Multi-
Disciplinary Approach (2nd edition);
• the papers included in the study materials;
• PDF versions of the lecture slides.

Digital versions of these materials will be provided for you.
Note that you do not have access to assigned microlectures during the exam.
Additionally, you may bring:

• physical (hardcopy, printed) versions of the material above;
• a summary of study materials that you have made yourself (handwritten or printed)
• a hard copy translation dictionary English to or from your language of choice.
Other materials are not allowed.

Because you have access to most study materials, the open book exam does not test
your ability to recall definitions or reproduce textbook examples. You will therefore not
receive points for repeating the exact same examples included in the book or papers.
Instead, you are tested on your ability to apply the concepts, frameworks, and reasoning
discussed in the study materials and throughout the course to new cases. In each
answer, it is important to clearly demonstrate how your answer relates to the case.
