Topic: for my historical event analysis, I have chosen to focus on the Salem Witch
Trials.
Research question: How did one girl spark the Salem Witch Trials?

Search terms that I have used in my research so far include: Salem witch trials; Salem,
Massachusetts; Catholic prejudice; Salem witch trials publication; Catholic prejudice and the
Salem witch trials; witches; Catholic prejudice and or Salem witch trials.
One primary source is “Wonders of the invisible world: being an account of the trials of
several witches, lately executed in New England...by Cotton Mather” I found this flyer utilizing
the Primary Source Sets found in the learning module in learning block 2-2.
One secondary source is “How a Slave Girl’s Confession Sparked a Witch Hunt in
Salem" on YouTube. I found this source utilizing the Smithsonian Learning Lab.
