In comparison my campaign my aims to look at:
To help raise awareness. Helping victims with support. Encourage victims to report
crimes. Educate/inform the public. To highlight the dangers of ***given crime***. The 4
crimes that I have chosen is hate crime, domestic abuse, moral crime and honour
crime.

The Stop Hate UK campaign is a national campaign. In comparison my campaign
will be: (come back to this)
My campaign will be a local campaign based in high schools around Warrington. I have
chosen schools as it fits the demographic I want to reach with my campaign.

The Stop Hate UK Campaign is focussed on keeping people safe and raising
awareness about the impact of being a victim of a hate crime. In comparison, a
main focus of my campaign is to:
Educate/inform the public about this crime. Raise awareness about this crime area.
Encourage victims to seek support. Encourage victims to report crime to the police

The main methods used in Stop Hate UK Campaign
Use of other organisations in campaign: Works alongside the Crown Prosecution
Service to try and help promote reporting.
The campaign made partners and supports such as a range of police forces,
universities and councils.
Are you planning on using other organisations: Schools (high schools)

The use of social media in campaign: Uses Facebook and Twitter and regularly tweet
relevant news connected with hate crimes
Website with information about hate crime and link to report hate crime- helpline

, Are you planning on using social media? Yes, the use of Instagram and Facebook
as it has no cost. Also the use of twitter and YouTube is very low cost. I would also use
websites and GoFundMe pages.

Use of events in campaigns: The Stop Hate UK Campaign organises local events to
promote its work to make members of the public more aware about hate crime.
Fundraising evening such as running, 3 peaks, marathons etc. There is also a national
hate crime awareness week each year.
Are you planning on holding events? Yes. Workshops, cakesales and a fun run

The main success of the Stop Hate UK campaign:
It has developed an app to enable the reporting of hate crime. The app is in use in West
Yorkshire and means the crime is reported in real time. The app allows the victim or
witness to attach video footage or photos of the crime. GPS can pick up where they are
reporting it so the police know the exact location of the crime.

Some campaigns are aimed at changing the law:
Campaign: The Tyred campaign Background of campaign In September 2012, Michael
Molloy, then aged 18 was travelling back from the Bestival music festival when the
coach he was travelling on crashed on the A3, killing him and several other people. The
coach crashed because it was fitted with a second hand tyre that was almost 20 years
old. Aims of this campaign:The aim of the Tyred campaign is to stop public travel using
tyres that are second hand to prevent less lives being lost. It was launched by Michael’s
mother Frances, calls for a ban on tyres for more than 10 years old on busses, coaches
and minibuses. In comparison my campaign aims are: to educate and inform the public
on the dangers of (one of four crimes). To encourage victims to report the crime and
give proper support and guidance on what to do and ultimately to raise awareness. The
types of media that the Tyred Campaign used to gain publicity are: Instagram,
Facebook and Twitter reaching just over 6 million people. The campaign was reported
via BBC News, national and local newspaper and radio stations across the country.
Support from the National Express who will not use tyres over 10 years old. The types
of media that my campaign will use are: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube as
they all have no cost to make. Used a petition to lobby government for a change a Law
