In de uitwerking is ingegaan op een persoon met een gezondheidsklacht aan de bovenste extremiteit, namelijk de schouder. Allereerst heeft er een screening en anamnese plaatsgevonden. Hierbij is naar voren gekomen dat de cliënt klachten ervaart in en rondom het schoudergewricht, met name bij heffen en reiken van de arm. Daarnaast ervaart de cliënt pijn tijdens het draaien van de arm in zijwaarts geheven stand. Maar ook snelle en abrupte bewegingen kunnen bij de cliënt pijn geven. De cliënt ervaart verder op sommige momenten ook een uitstralende pijn naar de bovenarm.
