C723 QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS FOR BUSINESS
- If you did not like word problems in College Algebra, you will hate this
course. Really though, watch the cohort videos, memorize the EOQ formula
and remember how to break down word problems and you will be just fine.
The OA and the PA were very similar. Since the course sections are all
weighted pretty similarly, if you decide to just not care about the graph
problems and nail the rest, you will be OK. I fully endorse doing just enough
to pass this one and moving on with your life.
Very similar to PA. Know Expected value: (probability of outcomevalue of
outcome)+(probability of other outcomevalue of other outcome) +… if there
is more than two outcomes. Know estimated time: t_est=
(optimistic_time+(4*most_likely_time) + pessimistic_time)/6 Know linear
programming. I didn’t know this, wasn’t a problem.
“I printed the PA and worked through the test while reviewing the videos.
Then I took the PA the next day without reviewing. I scheduled my OA and
took about an hour before the test to review and work through the problems
from the PA. The OA is seriously almost the same as the PA. I took my time
and did not rush through and it took almost the whole 2 hours. This included
going through and reviewing my answers. I realized I had a couple wrong and
corrected them.
There is one problem they do not review that you all probably learned in 3rd
grade lol. Goodluck!

“The results in the PA are very correlated to the OA, since it uses lots of the
same examples, sometimes just different different questions.
Don’t overthink it, unit 6 is the “hardest” unit and that’s mostly because of
the lack of context and/or examples but I only saw 5-6 questions in the entire
PA & OA related to stuff from that unit, so if you understand, practice &
master the other units, you will do okay.”
“Yes, I was surprised at how simple this course was. I kept thinking it was
going to get harder but it never did. This was by far the easiest class I’ve
ever taken.”
