Completing this portfolio required me to pay close attention to the guidelines and
assessment criteria set out for the module. I considered each of the required components
carefully and ensured that the activities were presented in a logical and organised way. The
portfolio has been arranged according to the prescribed tasks, with clear headings used to
separate and identify the different sections.
Following instructions is an essential part of producing quality academic work. Assessment
guidelines explain what is expected from students and provide a framework for completing
the required tasks. Ignoring or misunderstanding these requirements can result in important
aspects of the assessment being omitted. For this reason, I considered the instructions
relating to reflection, teamwork and proof of attendance when preparing this portfolio.
I also understood that the purpose of the portfolio was not simply to collect completed tasks.
Instead, it provided an opportunity to demonstrate my involvement in the module, reflect on
my personal development and consider the knowledge and skills gained throughout the
learning process. This encouraged me to think critically about my experiences rather than
focusing only on the completion of the required activities.
Preparing the portfolio further improved my ability to organise information and manage
academic requirements. I needed to ensure that each section was included and that the
necessary supporting documentation was attached where applicable. This process
encouraged me to work more systematically and to become more attentive to detail.
Effective organisation is important because it improves the presentation of academic work
and reduces the possibility of overlooking important requirements.
Overall, I made a conscious effort to meet the portfolio requirements and present the
information in a clear and structured manner. The process emphasised the importance of
understanding instructions, planning work in advance and reviewing completed work to
ensure that all requirements have been addressed.
