My presentation will take the form of a spoken delivery, supported by carefully designed
powerpoint slides. These slides will act as a visual aid, helping to structure my talk, clarify
complex ideas as I speak, and maintain audience engagement. They will be projected on a large
board behind me, ensuring that all members of the audience can clearly see them and follow
the flow of the presentation. Each slide will contain concise bullet points or pictorial elements
that summarise key ideas I am discussing on each subtopic. This will help the audience remain
focused and ensure they are aware of the topic I am addressing at each stage of the
presentation.
The slides are also designed to help prevent the audience from becoming lost or overwhelmed
by harder philosophical concepts or historical material. By combining the text with a visual
structure, such as timelines, diagrams, and portraits, I aim to make abstract ideas more
accessible. I will also use transitions or clear section dividers in my slides to indicate shifts in
focus, for example, from methodology to research findings.
While I initially planned to use physical notes as prompts, I have since chosen to rely instead
on internal preparation and my slide content. This allows me to give a more natural and steady
delivery, giving me greater freedom to engage with the audience directly rather than reading
from a script. I believe this approach will create a more confident and authentic presence,
which is particularly important given the academic level of my audience.
My presentation will last approximately ten minutes. This duration allows me to cover the
essential points of my project - ranging from my initial ideas to my research findings - without
rushing, while also ensuring the audience remains engaged. The timing will also allow space
for a Q&A session at the end.

staff, and non-specialist teachers. This mix means I must strike a balance between academic
