CLASS 10 SCIENCE - CHAPTER 12 NOTES
MAGNETIC EFFECTS OF ELECTRIC CURRENT
======================================================================
==========

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PAGE 1: MAGNETIC FIELD & FIELD LINES
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[1.1] HANS CHRISTIAN OERSTED KA EXPERIMENT
* Oersted ne sabse pehle discover kiya ki jab kisi metallic wire se electric current
guzarta hai, toh uske paas rakhi magnetic compass needle deflection (hilna)
dikhati hai. Isse prove hua ki Electricity aur Magnetism aapas mein jude hain.

[1.2] MAGNETIC FIELD (Chumbakiya Kshetra)
* Definition: Kisi magnet ke aas-pass ka wo area jahan tak uske magnetic force (bal)
ka ehsaas kiya ja sake, use Magnetic Field kehte hain.
* SI Unit: Magnetic field ki strength ko naapne ki unit **Tesla (T)** hoti hai.
* Yeh ek **Vector Quantity** hai, yaani iske paas Magnitude (value) aur Direction
(disa) dono hote hain.

[1.3] MAGNETIC FIELD LINES KI PROPERTIES (Chumbakiya Rekhaon ke Guna)
1. Field lines hamesha magnet ke **North Pole (N) se nikalti hain** aur **South Pole (S) par
khatam** hoti hain (Outside the magnet). Magnet ke andar inki direction S se N ki taraf hoti
hai.
2. Yeh lines ek complete Closed Loop (band ghera) banati hain.
3. Jis jagah par field lines bohot paas-paas (crowded) hoti hain, wahan magnetic field sabse
strong hoti hai (jaise Magnet ke Poles par).
4. **Most Important:** Do magnetic field lines kabhi bhi ek doosre ko KATI (intersect) nahi
karti hain. Agar wo aisa kareingi, toh intersection point par compass needle do alag-alag
directions dikhayegi, jo ki namumkin (impossible) hai.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PAGE 2: MAGNETIC FIELD DUE TO CURRENT-CARRYING CONDUCTORS
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jab kisi wire se current behta hai, toh magnetic field ka pattern wire ke shape par depend
karta hai:

A. STRAIGHT CURRENT-CARRYING CONDUCTOR (Seedha Wire)
* Iske aas-pass magnetic field **Concentric Circles (एक ही केंद्र वाले गोले)** ke roop mein hoti
hai.
* Agar current badhaenge, toh magnetic field strong hogi (B ∝ I).
* Agar wire se door jaenge, toh field kamzor hogi (B ∝ 1/r).

[2.1] RIGHT-HAND THUMB RULE (Maxwell ka Anguthe ka Niyam)
Straight wire mein magnetic field ki direction pata karne ke liye is rule ka use hota hai:
