◉ CalDRE. Answer: California Department of Real Estate, formerly
the Bureau of Real Estate, or CalBRE
◉ Real Estate Commissioner. Answer: Appointed by the governor
and is compensated. Must be a practicing real estate broker for at
least 5 years. Determines policy, issues regulations to enforce law.
They are the Chief executive officer of CALDRE
◉ Real Estate Advisory Commission. Answer: 10 members. 6
licensed real estate brokers, 4 non-Licensed. Not compensated &
appointed by the commissioner to discuss and suggest policies
◉ MOG (Mineral Oil and Gas licenses). Answer: Brokers or
salespersons may perform activities related to MOG. Sell, purchase,
exchange, lease, collet rent.
◉ What can't unlicensed assistants do?. Answer: They cannot show
listings, solicit public to use the brokerage's services, Host open
houses, negotiate.
They can do paperwork, assemble documents, schedule
appointments, provide factual information about listing.
