from the neurologist’s office. Bethlehem has cerebral palsy and a seizure
disorder. He was recently adopted two months ago, and the family needs lots
of teaching. He has a percutaneous gastrostomy tube for feedings and
medications. The adoption was a private, international adoption and the
health records are very vague. He had a twin who died at birth, and the
mother later died of a postpartum hemorrhage. He has been in a private
orphanage. He is on phenytoin and some other medications. The adoptive
mother and father are with him and are anxious. They say he keeps having
about 2-3 seizures per day.
