,1) Evolutie
1.1 Evolutionaire biologie
Evolutionaire biologie: bestudeert hoe soorten ontstaan, veranderen en uitsterven doorheen de tijd.

Kernbegrippen v/d evolutionaire biologie  redenen wrm bep. soorten evolueren & anderen uitsterven:

➢ Natuurlijke selectie: individuen met voordelige kenmerken hebben e. grote  kans om te overleven &
zich voort te planten. => erfelijke kenmerken doorgegeven aan volgende generaties.
Kenmerken = voordelig  organisme overleeft =  kans op voortplanting en dat dezelfde soort
zullen overleven.




➢ Adaptatie: h. proces wb organismen eig. ontwikkelen die hen helpen beter te overleven en voort te
planten i/hun omgeving. => gevolg v. natuurlijke selectie  gunstige eig. verspreiden over generaties.
Kan door toeval maar ook bewust door bep. kruisingen

 = kenmerken die ontstaan door voordeel dat h. heeft i/e bep. omgeving




➢ Genetische variatie: verwijst  verschillen in genetische samenstelling (DNA) tss individuen binnen e.
populatie.

Mogelijke oorzaken voor genetische variatie:
 Mutaties
 Seksuele voortplanting => genen v. beide ouders
 Vervuiling, bep. ziektes
 …




Evolutie = door omgeving die steeds in verandering is  organismen = beter overleven o/die plek door
veranderingen die ze meemaken doorheen evolutie
Mutaties hierdoor kunnen e. overlevingsvoordeel bieden

1.2 Evolutionaire psychologie
Evolutionaire psychologie: e. vakgebied binnen de psychologie dat zich richt o/h begrijpen v. menselijk gedrag en
mentale processen dmv/d lens v. evolutionaire biologie.
Maakt gebruik v. gedragsbenadering
 Kijkt is gedrag evolutionair verandert i/d loop v/d mensheid

= vrij recent wetenschappelijk manier om naar dingen te kijken

Gaan uit v/d aanname => alle kenmerken die we bezitten hebben e. functie  moet ≠ perse nu nog zijn maar toch
zeker vroeger!!




1.3 Een blik op de geschiedenis van de mens

1.3.1 Primaten
Oorsprong v/d mens = te vinden bij apen, mensapen
Gemeenschappelijk = afstemmen v. primaten

Gemeenschappelijke kenmerken met primaten, apen, mensapen &mensen:
• Relatief grote hersenen
• 5-vingerige handen met opponeerbare duimen
• Platte nagels, ≠ klauwen
• Recht vooruitkijkende ogen
• Nrm 1 jong tegelijk

Homininen: = de evolutionaire lijn naar de moderne mens vanaf de afsplitsing v/d gem. voorouder v. mensen,
chimpansees en bonobo’s.

Zorgt ervoor dat de lichaamsgrootte/-m in rekening wordt gebracht bij zoogdieren bij studie v/h hersenV

 Grootte hersenen zegt ≠ over complexiteit v/d hersenen
Organisme groter is en sterker hebben ++ F nodig v/d hersenen om onderdelen te kunnen aansturen
 Nood aan ++ neuronen => hersenV 
