1. Introduction
In the following essay I will discuss the concept of complexity theory and how it links
with resilience and also how they relate to public policy and what the main problem
related to complexity theory as a conceptual framework for policy analysis is.


2. CONCEPT OF COMPLEXITY THEORY

A complex theory is a new scientific paradigm to understand the complex socio-
natural system. The system consists of heterogeneous parts that link with each
other and cannot exist without each other.

Resilience theory has a lot of elements of difficult science and system dynamics, and
are used as the foundation for a study of the real-world systems. Resilience speak to
the mindset that is needed to manage and implement the changes according to the
underlying dynamics

The public policy making process involves the social, dynamic and emerging factors.
The complexities can also affect people’s religion, their culture and their social life.
This may have a major effect on policy development.




3. LINK BETWEEN RESILIENCE AND COMPLEXITY THEORY

Resilience theory is the ideas on how people are affected by and adapted to
challenging thing like difficulties, change, loss and risks. Research was done on
psychotherapy, the development of humans and change management. Complexity
theory focusses on the characteristics that promote people to adapt to stressful
circumstances and the withdrawal of stress and the bouncing back.

Resilience involves human capacity to adopt to stress and trauma to revert it in a
positive state. It is important for growth to be satisfactory, and it should adopt to
people’s lives.

A person should be able to adapt positively, they must learn from experience and
need to reach for their goals. It has been proven that if you have a purpose, you live
